So, this is my blog about music and entertainment. I’ll be discussing my take on what’s going on in the world of music and entertainment and I’ll be reporting the news when I got it. I’ll also be discussing my experiences playing in a band, recording records and on occasion will post some lessons. I may be discussing some film and video related stuff as well.
What qualifies me to do this? Well, first, I have an opinion about everything! Second, I am a professional musician and recording engineer. I have also started to produce music videos and do video and sound editing. Here’s my background.
I am a bass player, composer, songwriter, producer, recording engineer and occasionally a guitar player and a member of the Recording Academy, better known as the Grammys. Currently I am the bass player for the NYC-based rock bands Atomic Brother and Scratcher. Most of my career has been playing bass & writing and recording original music, and driving the sonic bottom-end for many NYC-based bands, as well as an international pop rock/country band, for almost 20 years. I have performed hundreds of concerts in dozens of cities in many countries and played bass and guitar, and engineered and produced several albums, EPs and demos. Recently I have begun to produce music videos for my band, Atomic Brother, and have gotten into video and sound editing. I also do extra work for movies.
I have also written concert reviews for Good Times Magazine on Long Island as well as my own ezine, Forbidden District (now defunct).
